I was asked recently by a rider who was having difficulty with standing while on a hill climb what he could do to improve. Interestingly, he felt he was in control when on the flats. Following is my less than succinct response!

Christopher Mandelaris our current o2 strongman in the triathlon arena made his presence known at Steelhead Saturday while preparing himself fof an upcoming full Ironman in a month. The Steelhead 70.3 attracts a strong contingent of racers and Chris's group is particularly competative. His personal best in each discipline combined for a finishing time of 4:24 for a 4th in his age bracket. Feeling the surge of a breakthrough day Chris is gearing up for the full deal event at Louisville on August 31.
Good luck Chris and keep up the high speeds!
James Ignash, Mark Cahn, Bernie Clincke, and Tom Dell headed north to Marquette this past weekend for the Superior Bike Fest. While the weather was not quite as wet and stormy as you trolls experienced (I can say that for one weekend a year), but we had our fair share.
A spirited group of riders appeared at the corner of Old Woodward and Maple this June 27th in Birmingham and at 7:30 am headed north on Woodward toward Pontiac. Climbing the 353 feet to the northern apex of the definitive Detroit roadway, the 80 plus riders then coursed south to Birmingham to regroup and join up with over twenty more riders for the trip south to Detroit.
